Steve Magnante's Super Models

Episode 2

Hilborn Stacks, Wheelbase Surgery and a '67 Chevelle - Funny Car Folk Art

Model building, much like full-size hot-rodding, can be an exercise in imagination and building out your dreams. In this episode, Steve introduces us to the fever dream that is Funny Car Folk Art as he explores the altered-wheelbase movement of the mid '60s, gasser stylings, and the big-block power of the '67 Chevelle.

Episode 3

The Even Littler Red Wagon

Steve builds the origin story of the 1960s Wheelstanders movement, the Little Red Wagon. He knows how to make a good kit great as he bashes together the mid-engine wheelie machine that accidently turned Dodge's flailing marketing campaign into a long-running cultural phenomenon.

Episode 4

The Charger of Magnante Past

Steve's feeling a little nostalgic as he rediscovers his long lost love, his 1968 Charger R/T! Referencing his personal photos, he builds a Steve-correct car with primer finish, Racing Green jambs, TorqueFlite trans and wide-by-wider rolling stock.
