Natalie has big ideas on how to turn this rental into an inviting home, but faulty electrical issues could derail her plan.

Episode 6

Justin

Justin lives a big-city lifestyle in a high-rise condo right downtown and after ten years of roommates, he can finally manage the rent on his own! Natalie’s got her work cut out for her.

Episode 7

Kayla & David

Kayla inherited her rental house from her Grandma, now she and boyfriend, David, want to make it look and feel like their own. Dated decor, family heirlooms, and hand-me-down furniture currently cloud their vision, and an oversized washer/dryer in the kitchen feels just as misplaced as the giant TV in the front room. Natalie plans on a room swap and kitchen refresh to personalize the rental, but only with Grandma’s blessing.

Episode 8

Sidney

Sidney is in love with the main floor rental she is renting as she begins her law career in the big city. Transforming an underutilized pass through seems like the perfect fix until Natalie discovers a flaw in her desk design.

Episode 9

Teresa & Armin

Renting an apartment above a shop reminds Teresa of her childhood, and recently she's invited boyfriend, Armin, to share her happy place. But finding a spot for everything they own is proving difficult and their bedroom is taking the brunt of it. Natalie wants to redesign the bedroom, refocus the living room, and update the kitchen.

Kevin

Kevin is committed to making a downtown apartment his forever home, but currently feels stuck in the past as the space represents the party boy he was instead of the professional writer he’s grown to be. Natalie leans into rental-friendly wall treatments and a new look for Kevin’s kitchen …in the hope that he will finally cook and bake there!

Episode 11

Carley

Born and raised in the big city, Carley loves her neighbourhood and the basement apartment she lives in, but she’s trying to embrace her single girl era while surrounded by decor she shared with her ex. Natalie is determined to give her the sanctuary she deserves but quickly realizes that purging the past may be easier said than done.

The three agree it’s time for an upgrade but admit they have no idea where to begin. While a kitchen refresh is an obvious choice, reorganizing the entertainment zone presents challenges for Natalie when she can’t flip the switch on a vintage find.

Episode 13

Jhanary & Taz

Suburban renting means tons of green space, convenience and social gatherings but with three tweens, Mom’s Jhanary and Taz are struggling to stay current.
