Jack’s first full-time job since leaving school at 16 sees him bringing together a squad of 18 outspoken, powerful women, overseeing a million pound budget, and trying to raise the profile of a growing sport often dismissed and derided by male fans. With exclusive access to the club, players and backroom staff, as well as to Jack and his larger-than-life family, this revealing and inspiring behind-the-scenes story discovers just what it takes to be a professional female footballer in today’s game, and whether a loveable but inexperienced teenager can change the face of women’s football. Just a few months before the start of the season, Jack’s got to put together a whole new team capable of cutting it in the Women’s Super League. Bringing in a new coach and players from all over the world, Jack’s also juggling the club’s budget and overseeing the building of their new training facilities.
